These were lined up at a bus stop, and had been in use until the bus in the background arrived. Later in the day, I’d have given a lot to have one of those chairs to rest on.

We had 11 of those chairs re-thatched some years back. Not many can still do that. It is a skill that might still thrive in countries where not everything is thrown out, such as perhaps in the Napoli environment.

but I probably wouldn’t fit through the bus door with the chair stuck to my rear and it would cause those behind me wanting to get on to go into a tizzy as only Itlalians can…so standing is the best option 🙂

Hahahaaa. I used to work for a company that hired its workers on a “bums on seats” mentality. Looks as if those seats have had an extremely efficient workforce!
