These are especially for you, Andrew Petcher.
High tide can affect Piazza San Marco very quickly, and produce some interesting reflections.
These are from Forte Marghera, Mestre. You won’t see many tourists there.
Inside the Arsenale, Venice.
Downside up.
Coming back from the Lido.
At Hasties Swamp which is not far from my town, Dismal Swamp.

Thank you, Jon. It’s quite a huge complex, near Mestre. It was part of the defense fortifications of Venice. The museum there is about the only building that has been restored.

That high tide is something to see. Walking on elevated planks on scaffolding takes real concentration!

Thanks for that, I do like reflections. I especially like the birds!

There you go, Andrew, BoD (Blogs on Demand), just for you. Thanks for the inspiration. Walking on the planks (“Yo-ho and a bottle of rum …”) is tricky when some pesky tourists with mountains of luggage want to use them at the same time.

Love the pictures! I’m jealous. I’ve never been to Venice but would love to see it.

Hi, Phil. I hope you get there, sooner rather than later. There’s just something very special about those old stones.

I love the lined up birds Yvonne. How did you get them to pose for you like that ? Or is it a new RAAF airbase ? xox ❤

They are indeed calming.
I took a few shots myself today….not (sadly) in Venice though. My friend and I took a rainy walk in the local botanical garden.

Oh I love these. I want to go back. Venice is addictive. The high tide is something I gave not experienced yet. Great photos.

I love the upside down photo, or is it right side up? Who can tell in Venice!
