Yvonne, these are wonderful shots. I see by the green shutters, that many of them were taken in Venice. I will have to look up more in residential neighborhoods to find these wonders. I’m going through Secret Venice, which I bought after your recommendation and plotting my routes! Looks like end of March. Will you still be there?

Yes, you sure have to look up, and down, there’s always some treasure waiting to be discovered.
That was my first wonderment in Venice that I wasn’t expecting…the window boxes and terraces and balconies full of flowers and greenery. As I was coming in by water taxi that first time I thought I’d entered a fairy land. And it was the end of October!
