This tranquil scene is from a place in Italy I hadn’t visited before. The city I stayed in seemed relatively industrial, but that might have been down to my choice of the area I chose to rent an apartment. But, it was close to the train station which allowed me to explore further afield, and I did discover some interesting historical places in this city.
Something strange is going on with my newly refurbished laptop. Some of you might see the previous paragraph all in capital letters. I swear I did not type it that way; I am NOT hollering at you!
I have no idea but it looks like the fisherman is very relaxed. And that old brick wall is lovely.

It was just a quiet, relaxed part of that city, et

Same here, Bert, it depends which piece of technology I use. Ho-hum.
I just like reading where people think it might be. Caroline knows, she came from Venice and spent a couple of days with me there, and shared my feelings about this city.

It’s even weirder on my prehistoric PC! When I read it in my email Inbox, it appeared ‘normal’, i.e. lower case. When I clicked on it to read more, it was in upper case!
I have no idea where you took the photo. Have you forgotten where it was and need help in finding it, or do you know where it is and you are just quizzing us?

Is it Padova?

Hi Andrew. No, it’s in a different region of Italy.

I believe you. That picture is good enough to need no amplification.

It just needs a few of your ponies cropping the grass, Derrick, and Jackie doing some gardening.

I do not know where this man be fishin’, but he looks relaxed. 🙂
Love the wall behind him. 🙂
Without my reading glasses the ALL CAP’S would help! 😛 😀

Isn’t that cool wall? Crumbly and interesting, kinda like Minx’s slave, in fact. 🙂

You never know what little surprise might pop up! It’s been a couple of days of those, which has kept me scratching my head and doing a lot of online searches.

I can imagine – how annoying.

It’ definitely come through as capitals on mine. I’m having trouble on my out of date iPad reading other’s posts. Often the photos are obliterating the text. But it doesn’t happen on my other devices. Sheesh!

And, I can remember the days when the biggest annoyance was people listening in to my conversations on the party line!

And I used to operate one of those plug and jack switchboards!

So did I, my very first job. I loved it!

One time I was working in two motels, back to back shifts. I kept dialling one, and then an incoming call would come in, so I’d disconnect to take that call, and the caller would have hung up.
Very annoying.
Until the fourth attempt when I realised I was ringing myself. I forgot which motel I was working in at that moment.

Our party line number was 11M (long short long from what I remember). There were 14 on our party line and Mrs Leach listened to the lot!

Oh I recognize that wall as clear as a bell. I was driving from Palermo to Milan when I decided to call in and see Uncle Giovanni (pictured). Incidentally he caught no fish that day.

Palermo to Milan really narrows it down 🙂 I noticed when I was in Umbria, the clay was much pinker than the terracotta of Tuscany. This colour is somewhere in between, so might we guess somewhere in Emilia-Romagna because that is next to Yvonne’s favourite of Veneto?

No, not Emilia-Romagna, a touch south of there, Gabby One.

Oh well I can just keep guessing down the coast, starting with Ancona in Le Marche 🙂

No. Go inland.

I thought there was a family resemblance between you and Giovanni, Bruce. I should have stopped and shared some vino with him.

I have no idea where the tranquil scene might be but it looks like a place where you could spend a few lazy hours. I often send some of my comments on a small iPad and my fingers often hit the wrong letters so the older I get the more forgiveness I need.

Oh, isn’t that annoying, John. And, as I read somewhere, we do our best editing after we hit the ‘send’ button.
