Julie , who sent me this list, said “This list was found on the floor of a Target Store in Atlanta, GA right before a check-out register. What I liked about this lost and found list was the Mother Teresa quote at the bottom of the note paper.
Perhaps the owner’s heart is constantly thinking of others…as we might see in some of the items listed 🙂“
And, Julie provided some information about herself.
My name is Julie Cook. I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia but now live in a small town about an hour west of Atlanta.
Since my son and his family lives in Atlanta, I spend a good bit of time running back and forth between home and them.
I am always finding myself constantly running to various stores when I’m over visiting — as I’m buying ‘this and that’ for the grand-kids.
This list has been waiting in the wings for a while. I wonder if this was a mom shopping for one of her children who was off to college, perhaps?
The person who lost the letter has hopes in giving many gifts. The phrase about Mother Teresa is extremely suggestive for everybody to give something to others. The writer might be a Spanish speaker, because B + B +B means in Spanish Bueno, Bonito y Barato. In English, it means: Good, Nice and Cheap… LOL.
I don’t know… Greetings for everyone!!.. Go buy a gift for somebody today. LOL

Now, I have to go and look at the list again.
Let’s all do something nice for someone today.

Thanks Yvonne for including the list I found!!!— given when I found it— I thought of either a college dorm or apartment

That’s what I was thinking also, ‘Cookie’, but what others are proposing also sounds logical. So, here I am, back on the fence again.

A mystery to be sure— but the list keeper was the one charged with the groundwork for creating something nice for someone else— a generous heart

Oh dear, it would seem that this person lost their list before most of the shopping was done. How annoying for them. I hope they were able to remember everything they wanted.

Crikey, I think you’re right E.T. I hadn’t even noticed that only the first item had been crossed off.

Unusual list. Not one you might find in an Aldi trolley.

It really is different, Gez. Keep your eyes open the next time you’re in Aldi, even be prepared to ambush someone at the checkout, and get their list. Thank you, and good luck.

They’ve just moved into a new home and are setting up a guest room?

It’s a strong possibility.

I’m voting for a twin-bedded guest room. This would be a fun shopping expedition, and how thoughtful to provide a chair. Too bad we’ll never see the end result!

It’s always fun to get new bed linens, I reckon. I hope they found everything they needed and are happy with the results. ❤

She (how very sexist of me) is doing up the guest room prior to the imminent arrival of a guest. She is also dolling up the second bathroom a bit. Given the colour of the pen I’m not sure I would trust her to be my decorator!

Hi, BA. So, you stick to boring old black or blue, do you? I’m not sure we can be BFF anymore! (Just kidding, you can use invisible ink if you want.)

Lots of white space there for adding other things as they come to mind. I’m voting for the home refresh idea. Maybe “G” stands for “Guest”. Or “G” a person, got moved to another room in order to create the guest room. Perhaps “G” is a little person going into their first big bed.
The possibilities are endless.

It’s the sort of list where we can all have our ideas, but never know what was going on. It probably is a “G” for guest, given the first entry on the list.

Perhaps the writer of this list is giving his/her two-bedded guest room a facelift, and maybe because of expected visitors, maybe the first guests to visit in a while.

Yes, that always sends me off to do some shopping for new stuff, instead of the tired old stuff that got shoved onto the guest room bed, and into the bathroom!

The nature of the items suggest you are right, Yvonne

I’ll go with that, and cherish the idea that for once, I was right, Derrick.
Guess what! I ate a very little piece of lamb last night, and lived to tell the tale. Still don’t like it, though.

I’m pleased you managed that, Yvonne.

How fascinating, how some of us organize our world.

I loved the lists we got from Finland, England and India, and I guess people all over the world do a similar thing to organize their shopping expeditions.

Actually all these shopping lists tell a story. When you buy for other people your list has to be pretty specific.

This one is interesting. Paper shades for the guest room–is this a new home and the blinds/curtains aren’t up yet? And if it’s a new place, maybe it’s bigger? what with all the bedding, and garbage cans for the bathrooms and the lamp. Not to mention the chair…I vote new larger home…

Trouble is, unless there’s a one in a billion chance that the person who wrote the list stumbles across this post, we’ll never know. Which makes it good, we can make up all sorts of stuff about the shopping that was done.
I thought the paper shades referred to lamp shades.

No, there are these blinds that you stick at the top of windows when you don’t have coverings. They’re good in a pinch, but some people never take them down. It was the store made me think that…but I just did a search and all the ones she was in mention them.

it does seem like a list that is thinking of others- maybe helping to furnish an apartment? nice find 🙂

It does sound as though something like that was going on.
