Back to one of my favourite topics – graffiti

Trastevere has more than its share of graffiti and street art, so I’ve once again hauled a few examples out of my photo file to share with you.

Will you please help to defend Pinocchio?

A fallen hero, victim of Kryptonite, perhaps?

I’m waiting for your comments and explanations of this one. Then, I’ll steal the best ideas as my own, of course.

  2. Is the Doppler effect the different noise made by the wearer of those heels between putting them on and then walking in them. Something to do with sound waves ripping molecules apart in an aural representation of the distinction between the fantasy and reality of stilettos – says the bloke in trainers…. love the graffiti though. I need to do another London tour methinks, see what’s new. Oh and ta everso for the follow Yvonne.

    • Well, there’s another slant on that eccentric piece of street art!

I hope you do take a walk around London in your trainers, and show us what you find.

And, ta everso to you, also.

  3. The last one is elementary. It merely refers to the fact that in Italy the doppler effect goes crazy and splits light waves into rainbow bits when they hit a person.

  5. Oh! I thought I already commented this post! I remember writing about the shoes, etc., but don’t see my comment.

I just wanted to stop by and ask, “How are you doing?”
    and leave you some

  6. I think I might just be too much of a simpleton for this graffiti…I don’t have any idea what they mean – including the ladybugs! πŸ˜‰ But I do love the Pinocchio one! xx

    • Heaven knows what the creators intend when they produce their works, Bridget. I’m always happy when I can find an explanation online. The Biennale in Venice is full of mysteries to me. xxx

  10. Well the word ‘duppler’ has me interested. It could be a simple way of writing ‘doppler’ but that wouldn’t have any meaning in the context.
Maybe it has something to do with the American Tax reform movement. But whatever it means I love the high heeled shoes and the trim ankles. And that’s when I stop wondering and just enjoy the trip.
