  6. Beauty, they do say is in the eye of the beholder,
Doesn’t do much for me; does that make me a Philistine or something?

  8. I know some of my ancestors came from Naples but your slide show being so familiar was a bit unusual. But then I remembered a movie I had seen a while ago “Passione. described as a look at the musical roots and traditions of Naples, Italy, as well as its influence on the rest of the world.
Director: John Turturro” He did a lot of filming of the music videos in some of the areas in the pictures. Although it didn’t get the best reviews I enjoyed it.
And of course I enjoyed your slide show.
We all need to venture out of our comfort zones. Grazie mille.

    • I have genuinely enjoyed my time in Naples. the people have been warm and helpful, which is always a plus!

Some people can’t, or don’t, venture outside their comfort zone, for varied reasons, I guess.

      • just wanted to comment on this: “Some people can’t, or don’t, venture outside their comfort zone, for varied reasons, I guess…”
I have noticed this a lot too – and wonder why – guess it is different for everyone eh?

  9. So beautiful, the old, the new(sh), the colorful, the weathered….what a place Napoli is. You capture it so well! xx

    • It’s got such a long and deep history. I guess a lot of the south of Italy would be the same. I’m glad I ventured out of my safety zone! (For example, Dismal Swamp! 🙂 )
