I finally saw one

This morning, I made my way to a street market I’d read about on Via Pignasecca. That name means dry pinecone, there must be a story attached to that.

Anyhow, I bought some nice fresh vegetables and a pair of light weight pyjamas there, and then I saw it, marching along like it owned the whole darn place, looking neither left nor right, stopping for no one.

  1. Cat on a fission. Now that’s a clever pun. The kitty looks to be a seasoned street cat. He might even have an owner and I hope that he/she does but with his purposeful sp? strides, I think that you are right- that he is a cat that knows were he/she is going.

  2. Aw. 🙂 Poor skinny kitty. But, hmm…maybe he does own the place. 😀

  3. Did you give it a treat? One should always have a sardine handy in Naples, just in case.

  6. I’d say he’s making a feline (I mean bee-line) for the fishmonger.

  9. Even in Venice the cats seem few and far between….dogs everywhere (or their droppings) but I only saw three cats total in a month!
