This morning, I made my way to a street market I’d read about on Via Pignasecca. That name means dry pinecone, there must be a story attached to that.
Anyhow, I bought some nice fresh vegetables and a pair of light weight pyjamas there, and then I saw it, marching along like it owned the whole darn place, looking neither left nor right, stopping for no one.
Cat on a fission. Now that’s a clever pun. The kitty looks to be a seasoned street cat. He might even have an owner and I hope that he/she does but with his purposeful sp? strides, I think that you are right- that he is a cat that knows were he/she is going.

Aw. 🙂 Poor skinny kitty. But, hmm…maybe he does own the place. 😀

Did you give it a treat? One should always have a sardine handy in Naples, just in case.

I thought you were going to say you’d finally seen a railway station.

Funny you should mention that, I’m going down to the train station today to sort out the tram system. I don’t mean it’s a mess and they’ve called me in as a consultant, I need to find out how to get to a couple of places.

I see enough reading to keep me occupied for many a day! But, they call them railway stations, for some reason.

I’d say he’s making a feline (I mean bee-line) for the fishmonger.

Motley?? His/her tail looked like an afterthought, or something from the remnant counter.

Was this near the fish stall, by any chance? 🙂

Come to think of it, not all that far away, and the cat was headed in that direction.

Even in Venice the cats seem few and far between….dogs everywhere (or their droppings) but I only saw three cats total in a month!

Same in Naples, lots of BIG dogs.
