On a recent visit to a nearby town, my eye was drawn to the handwriting on this No Entry sign. The sign marks the exit of the driveway of the Anglican Cathedral.
I don’t think I want to be drawn into a theological/legal discussion of the rights and wrongs of the issues!
Hahah, the writings are hilarious.

It really tickled my funny bone!

That’s rather droll, although I’m not sure if “Christianie” is a word. 🙂

Oh, now I see from your title that it’s “Christianic.” Still couldn’t find it in Merriam Webster, though. 🙂

Unless we suggest it, perhaps? 🙂
I guess our graffitist equates it with something like “Islamic”.

You know what, I’m sure that’s exactly what is. Well spotted! 🙂

I could understand ‘No Exit’ but as it stands it is rather bizarre.

But then, I wouldn’t have had anything to write about, Andrew. 🙂
Or, it could have said “Exit only” …

Is that a signature in the lower right? Now that would be unusual!

I think it is. If you enlarge the image, it’s not like any name I’ve heard before!

Lucian Adair? Who knows. Bet he doesn’t drive…

I think it’s more a grammar debate than a theological one Yvonne 🙂

You’re the first one to make that observation, contented lass.

How unchristianic
Almost satanic

I’m trying to find a suitable response, I may have to get back to you later, BA.

It must be awfully important to control ingress to be worth defacing an otherwise perfectly fine gate post.

Do you think it was a committee decision, Judy?

Yikes! Distress and conflict everywhere it seems. You have a good eye to spot this.

Whoever it was has definite views about this one way drive, it seems!

This needs to be paired with a church in a nearby town here. The church is called Overcoming Faith. 🙂

Oh, I do like that! Another committee decision, perhaps?

How utterly charmless and ugly. It’s not in Venice is it?

It’s definitely not Venice, Gerard.

The Cathedral was dedicated in 1909, and is a very interesting edifice: http://wangarattacathedral.org.au/

Maybe it’s just the other end of a one way drive and nothing sinister at all.

That’s absolutely correct, et. Perhaps if they had added the words ‘One Way’, it wouldn’t have upset our protestor so much.

It seems so, Derrick. Or, someone’s just cross …

Surely “Trespassers will be forgiven” would be more appropriate ?

Now, that’s a radical thought, Phil.

Presumably there was a way in somewhere. Guess the guy doesn’t like one way systems. And I’m not getting involved with theological debate either!

Wise decision! But, I’d like to meet the fellow (or female) who wrote this.
