I’ve only been following your blog for a week and already I take your fabulous photos for granted. The orange umbrellas juxtaposed against the gray day, the blue rain coats that matched the pavers, how do you do it?!?! You must have your camera with you 24/7, thinking only of us, your devoted followers.
That made me chuckle, Judy. I wish you could have seen me scurry from the front windows to the back part of the apartment to fetch my camera, hoping I wouldn’t drop it or something equally disastrous! And, thank you for your nice comments, Judy.
Great you are almost a human again. Is this new post of yours going to be a 365 day of the new year thing or are you going to go back to being normal? Either way I look forward to each day in expectation.
You and your ESP! As I wrote the title for the second post, I thought “Now, this has to stop!” So, back to random stuff. It’s nice to have you aboard, John.
Would you like some rain? And wind? I was rudely awakened during the night by the crash of poorly latched shutters. It sounded like the whole apartment building was collapsing! ❤
Those blue people. What a great photo. I think they are considering visiting Australia next winter. You can tell they are discussing Queensland as an option, with their outspread arms, talking about the size of the butter-nut pumpkins.
No such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes. [Try telling that to the people of Cumbria, York, Argentina and America’s Mid-West.] The third photo looks like one of a pair of statues as they are almost monochrome. And what an eye for a photo you have with the second one!
I love the gondoliers in their blue coats. I have a favourite photo of the most pissed-off-looking gondolier ever.

We are hearing from friends everywhere how mild the winter is. My friend in Norway said it was quite hot, at 7 degrees C! Happy New Year.

I keep expecting us to get the icy bora that blows in from Trieste, any day now. It’s about 2 C right now, I think.

I’m in Hawaii and it’s a balmy 24 degrees. Just beautiful.

Are you getting a suntan?

No, I’m not a suntan kind of girl, but I am getting lots of excellent food, great scenery and good wine. Justin Beaver is enjoying himself immensely.

Hi, Sue. So you escaped the snow for a while, eh? What part of Mexico did you go to? (I’ll bet I find out when I go to the Reader later today.) ❤

If they’re heading for the Innisfail/Tully region, they’d better pack those ponchos, and gum-boots, eh?

Are the bottom 2 statues or real people? A statue erected to honour the wet Venetian winter?
LikeLiked by 2 people
They’re a couple of props I ran down and planted in the campo! 🙂 No, they’re real live, well-prepared people, enjoying the rain.

Dang. I preferred the statue idea. Was Campo in Last of the Summer Wine?

Oh, crumbs, it could well have been, Andrew. Someone far more knowledgeable about such things will surely be along to tell us.

Nothing like a good rain to freshen up the calli and campi, not to mention providing those beautiful reflections! I hope you’re feeling better Y.

Good morning, Susie. I’m feeling almost human again. Yes, it looks very pretty out there on the campo.
