Cool set of photos. My favorite photo is the motor boat photo. Being a man, my favorite color is blue, especially flash blue. My wife has a red outdoor jacket and I have the blue one. 🙂
I had to look online to see who Gillian Vigman is, and found many photos, but none of her in a red dress. There was one of her feet, with red nail polish ….
oo I missed that one. She’s on commercials as Jack In The Box’s wife. And also on a movie I’m watching with the kids called “Aliens in the Attic.” She brings the acceptability factor up considerably. *swoon*
I was a strawberry blond when young and two of my kids are redheads so red is not a colour that has figured largely in my life in regard to clothing and personal items. I do love it on a kitchen appliance, though.
I actually had a red leopard print dress at one time. I used to wear it to work to push the envelope because we had a dress code that said no paisley (really! I think the boss had an aversion to the 1960’s) so I would find whatever other print I could find to wear.
And no, it was not bodcon. It was very tasteful….just that crazy print.
By the way, leopard (I think you know this) is another staple of my wardrobe. I told my administrator at a meeting that it was my favorite color. Although I do prefer the beige and black version….usually paired with something red!
There were a few red body cons at the Oscars last night and an incredible green one (on Scarlet Johanson I think). Now if I just had the body that could be poured into one of those dresses…..
Although after your blog I almost bought a pair of red jeans. Doubt if I would have the courage to wear them….the purple ones are still in the closet.
It’s a basic color in my wardrobe but so far have avoided red pants (rethinking that one) but also have red chair in the living room (I’m sitting in it), red drapes in my bedroom and you should see my kitchen. I’m so glad they are making small appliances in red!
Heehee ! An obvious solution to his colour blindness 😀
Will do. I will pass on your hello to them.
Baccy to you Yvonne (oh, that’s my smoking post !) ❤
I won’t tell you the whole story but I introduced a lady friend to my father. When we arrived he was just about to clean out a small fish pond that had about six inches of mud in the bottom. Bad mistake! Cleaning out ponds was one of her good things. So she rolled up her jeans, hopped in the pond and started cleaning. Al you could see was dirty water, dirty mud and bright red flashes of her nail polish. “I don’t know about you, but I’m a sucker for this primary colour.” Dad was impressed as well. I didn’t, but I still wish I had.
Ooooh, Bert! We thought all those red jackets and things would cause you actual pain! As soon as we saw this post we thought of you, going round Venice carefully “eliminating” (We wondered exactly how?) anyone wearing red.
Going through Campo Sant’Agnese yesterday morning, we noticed the red benches looked really bright – we thought they must have been recently painted, and were also standing out more against a grey and rainy day.
I love that red door!!!!
