I’m looking forward to having such good prowls around the streets of Florence. Here is a tiny selection of what you might see when you take time to look up.

I have always wanted to visit Florence! Wow beautiful photos!
I’m going back for another long visit next spring, I can hardly wait. It’s another amazing Italian city, chock full of history and beauty.
I want to ride one of those gondolas. So much! Lucky you!
How can I never have visited Florence, I ask myself! Thanks for sharing these lovely up-shots and for linking to the Challenge.
It took me several visits before I started to warm to Florence, now I can’t wait to get back, Debbie.
Such fascinating decorations! Thank you for the tour looking skyward.
My mission is to decipher some of these, during my next visit. And, I wonder if I’ll find any ‘scorpion pizza’ while I’m there? I think not. 🙂
We are going to Italy in the fall. I’ll keep a watch out too! 🙂
Back to an earlier discussion: Although I see a lot of the marble inlaid floors in the Siena Cathedral when I go, they are completely uncovered from the end of August to the end of October.
Growl, I’ll be there much earlier in the year. I recall seeing the floor in 2008, and I didn’t realise what a privilege that was, Brian.
Aren’t you glad you looked up? I am.
It’s tricky in Florence, the paving stones are not as flat as the ones in Venice. Slow strolling is advised.
