A bit late, but “more like permanent lean”, perhaps.
Now, knowing your liking for word games, I don’t think I can take your comment at face value. So, I’ll go away and think about it for a while. 🙂
Very peaceful Yvonne. I wondered where my big pencils went ! 😉 ❤
I hope you didn’t mind them being borrowed. Well, not borrowed really, more like permanent loan. 🙂
Nicked more likely 😉 lol
Well, go ahead, call a spade a spade, Ralphie. 🙂 oxo
I agree with Caroline about the cars! Probably my main objection to spending any amount of time on the Lido.
Yes, working in Mestre is the price to pay for living in Venice. I would do that if I had to….cars and all.
The Lido isn’t so bad, it’s a close place to go to, to have a little bit of space to swing your arms and not battle through hoards of day-trippers.
Ah, yes, I know….you and I have been there together. I still avoid places with cars if I can though. I get enough of them here.
Cars, though! (Thinks, what’s the Italian for ‘quel horreur’? 🙂 )
You’re so spoiled, Caroline. 🙂
I know! Apart from the working-in-Mestre bit!
Yes, there’s that to it, for sure!
Thanks everyone. Wouldn’t it be splendid to have a picnic there? This time, I WOULD bring the glasses, Susie. 🙂
Hee, hee! Actually Y, it was for the best that you didn’t bring glasses that day, we were in enough trouble with that carabiniere while sober!
I would like to have a picnic on one of those benches today. Sigh.
My longing for Venice heart thanks you.
You got that right! Very peaceful. And lovely 🙂
This is lovely, Yvonne. And just as you described….so very peaceful!
Where was it taken?
That was on one of my visits to Chioggia, Barb. xx
