Before I get down to the nitty-gritty of the recent trip I took on a cargo ship, I’d like to share with you some of the whimsical things we saw on the MV Trinity Bay.
This sign appeared one day, right after breakfast. This set of stairs was the only access we had to the decks, so we wanted those sailors to hurry up with the swabbing, already. They eventually remembered to let us swarm onto the decks.
On the second day, some of us went on a tour of the bridge, where the Master and Commander let us in on some of the tricks of the trade. My eyes kept wandering to this little display.
I kept looking at this blotch on the deck, and finally was able to decipher what it said. I sure didn’t know that Lord Nelson had died on the MV Trinity Bay! We need to rewrite a few history books, it seems.
You’ve really got to watch those clappers, Ralphie! OK, more besos, then, it’s easy online! 🙂 xxx

I think the ship’s cat killed the captain Lord Nelson while the deck was clear and took over the ship. The evidence is overwhelming…….Puss in Boots ? 😉 xox

And then, a Princess kissed that cat, and turned him into the handsome Captain we met, little knowing he was really a homicidal feline?
How is the percussion practice going, Ralph? Besos. 🙂

Yet the handsome captain was gay…..hence the pink boots 😉
I gave up the idea when the clapper damaged my drumstick 😉
I like besos 😀 xox

Wow! Five days, 7 hours and 31 minutes until I arrive at Marco Polo!
And the good news….the Nook is working again. May have been dust around the power button who knows? Maybe it knew I should be doing dishes instead of reading.
We’ll have to have a gathering before I leave on January 2.

Glad they didn’t make you passengers swab the decks, Y! I don’t think those pink boots would offer much protection in an acqua alta.

But, they’re very cute, eh? How many days now, SusieQ?

24 days, Y! I am starting to freak out a bit, so busy with work and settling both my mother’s and sister’s affairs. But once I get on that plane, with Marco by my side, all will be well.
How many days for you, Y?

I’ve been in Winnipeg, but I spent more time in Alberta, so beautiful yet so cold in winter. Your wine is inviting 🙂

What part of Alberta were you in, Arthur? How come you know I’ve got a glass of wine here! 🙂

I also thought perhaps Lord Nelson was the ship’s cat.

It comes from wading through all those snow drifts! I just heard from someone in Winnipeg, who said it was minus 34 … with a wind. Brrr xxx

Lord Nelson, ehh? Perhaps you swarmed the deck before the swabbies did away with all of the evidence…

Ohh, come to think of it that blotch was a bit wet, Randallo.
