The flowers that bloom in the spring, tra-la

Spring was a little late getting to Venice this year, but there were still quite a few blossoms to admire.

My idea of easy gardening, scrunched up chicken wire to form the heads of flowers. They'd stay alive for ever.

  1. I also love the chest of drawers.
Back to cool and raining here for the rest of the week too!

Some excellent photos here, Yvonne! All are worthy of being framed and hung in your home. Was the chest of drawers part of a display of some sort?

You’re right, Andrew, I considered putting the heating on yesterday morning!

Yvonne, I do like those chicken wire flowers, aren’t they effective? Did you also spot the flowers made of cut-up plastic bottle tops in the wee shop on Calle de l’Ogio o del Cafetier?

    • Hi to the folks in the UK and Venice. It sure is a spring to forget, isn’t it!

No, I didn’t see those flowers you spotted, Caroline; they sound interesting too. There’s a really nice shop on that calle, where the owner makes all sorts of interesting things with stained glass, especially pretty and affordable jewelry.

Just when you think summer is on its way we revert to the cold and wet here in the UK. Venice doesn’t seem to be doing much better,
