Many of you have strong feelings for a person or a place. When you are separated from the object of your affection, you probably find it comforting to look at images you have of that person, or place.
So it is with me. Memories of the day I took these photos flood back to me as I look at them.

Love those old doors. They tell so many stories.
They sure do, Gerard.
Ciao, Daniela! Don’t save too many, I have to fit into my jeans! 🙂
Ciao Yvonne! Why are you so sad? Few days and you will be in Venice!!! (I have to save a lot of frittelle for you 🙂
Those 5s and 3s are almost impossible to tell apart, aren’t they? But, after trying several combinations, I can put number 2 at Calle de la Sbiaca, Dorsoduro. No 1 is indeed Hotel dalla Mora.
You’re right, Bert, the numbers are difficult to read (in my photo). 35 days to sit and simmer!
How do you do that, Bert? How on Earth did you place the second photo?? You are an intriguing man! 🙂
I know his secret, Melissa, but I don’t possess his patience at following through.
Ah, Comox! Whoops, I mean Venice.
Or, “Ah, Dismal Swamp.” 🙂
I think the first one is Hotel della Mora, , always looks inviting,
I love the looks of that hotel, Jan
…….Very basic and cheap too,.
And, right on the canal!
Solace for my soul too. I put the slide show of my last trip on in the morning while I have my breakfast. It’s a wonderful way to start my day.
What a great thing to do, Michelle.
