If you take a look at Venipedia you can find maps covered with markers showing where all the external art can be found. The markers are so close together you cannot separate them until you zoom in to a scale that shows each street. I have a photo of your first formella – it’s in Castello, on Fondamenta S Gioachino. The other two I don’t know.
The second one is near the Sotoportego dei Bombardieri, in Castello, Bert.
Isn’t it true, Linda! Every single sestiere yields such treasures, if you’ve got the time to stroll and look. Sospiro.
Yvonne….I could spend days….weeks…..months….wandering every calle in Venice……just to find these treasures!!
You can see them just about everywhere in Venice, Darlene.
We are fortunate to view these. I wonder what they will look like 100 years from now? The first photo especially; frozen in time, yet so lovely in it’s softness.
Wow! You put into words what I felt about these, Susie. (Look, I got your name right!) xx
What are you talking about? My name is Caroline! 🙂
My kids can’t afford that posh nursing home, Susie, so stop confusing me! 🙂
