These were taken as I walked home from Sant’ Elena, the last evening in Venice. The reflections from the navigation lights looked like golden ropes on the water.

That splash of gold snaking across the lagoon under the rose-tinted sky is just beautiful Yvonne. It would have been so hard to tear yourself away.

What lovely photos Yvonne, and how serene and so very, very beautiful it is at dusk.
I am deeply yearning for Venice at the moment…..

(you picked an interesting week to come home didn’t you?)

So very beautiful, and as always you have such a keen eye for things that most of us miss. Grazie Yvonne!

  7. Maybe Leonard could come up with both tunes….”Left Venice Blues” & “Pissotte at Sundown”?
It’s so great to have someone to wander the calli with………thanx so much!!

  8. If I do a book, it could be titled “Pissotte at Sundown”!

That’s nice news about your trip, Michelle.

No, I don’t think you are too indolent and that there will eventually be a book.
I’m one step closer to my trip. I’ll email you.

  10. Thank you, Barb. You know that I’m basically too indolent to do something as demanding as put a book together, don’t you?

Those are gorgeous photos and what a lovely reminder of your last evening in Venice. You’ve certainly set the marker high for the rest of us when it comes to capturing the unusual and unexpected. Are you sure you don’t have a book in the works? 🙂

I see you have “The Left Venice Blues” something we all get when we leave there. Your photos have been great!
