Michelle, I’ve just watched the latest video on the e-venise site, http://www.e-venise.com/index.html and it made me cry! The Cardinal must be sad to leave Venice.

That was my first wonderment in Venice that I wasn’t expecting…the window boxes and terraces and balconies full of flowers and greenery. As I was coming in by water taxi that first time I thought I’d entered a fairy land. And it was the end of October!

Yvonne, these are wonderful shots. I see by the green shutters, that many of them were taken in Venice. I will have to look up more in residential neighborhoods to find these wonders. I’m going through Secret Venice, which I bought after your recommendation and plotting my routes! Looks like end of March. Will you still be there?
