What to do?

The nice folks for whom I’m house/cat/goldfish sitting  left me the following:

a bottle of bubbly

a bottle of soda water

a bottle of Aperol

a jar of olives.

Well, only one thing for it, then. Would you like to join me for a spritz?

Pour Aperol over ice cubes, add some bubbly (Prosecco if you can get it),  or white wine, top up with soda water. Add a slice of orange, or an olive.

Cin-cin!

6:30 a.m. here in cold and blustery New England and even though I’ve not yet had my morning coffee, that Spritz sure looks good! I think by 6:30 p.m. when my family arrives for our annual Christmas Eve family gathering, I will have one of those beautiful drinks in my hand!

And I imagine that between the two of us, we can find one or two places to share a Spritz in Venice in April! 🙂

    Merry Christmas, Yvonne!

    • Salute a tu!!

I just came home from the Christmas carols and mass (!) at Sts Peter and Paul. I didn’t realise that the famous father Bob was the parish priest there. It was standing room only.

Has the rain diminished? Lots of it up in Queensland, cyclone alert out. Maybe I should find another abode? Meow say i gatti.
