I felt so honoured to have a yellow bellied sun bird build her nest between the cords of the blinds on my deck. She laid two eggs, two babies emerged, and now two fledglings have flown from the nest. The average survival rate in the wild is 20%, so she did very well. I wonder if she’ll come back next year?
PSΒ The male did absolutely nothing, aside from his role in fertilization. I’ll say nothing more. π
Now…now..calma te….don’t get your knickers in a twist….I liked it… so enjoy the moment!

Did you “Like” it? I’d like it if you liked it. π Should I reblog this on someone’s blog? Is that even possible?

You mean you don’t lead the life of a male sun bird? I’m stunned.

We male sun birds are thinking of having a referendum and changing our name to Fun birds; just the males mind. The females don’t need to change.
